I have lived in Florida for 27 years now. At 69, I am retired and looking forward to getting out and seeing the Gulf Coast. I am a surfer type, so I have always gone to the Atlantic beaches mostly on Anastasia Island, but I am itching to take my kayak to the Gulf coast and take in the beauty of the Gulf coast. I thought about the Bahamas, but looks to me like the Florida Gulf coast is a much better value that I can drive to in 3 or 4 hours from Fort White in North Florida.
