Hello I have a question: the Diamond Club services how many benefits give to the guest?
John S, Gray says
Pity it was a red flag day at the beach. On green flag days, a very good snorkeling reef with hundres of fish is just 200 yards off the Chiringuito beach bar.

We stayed at the Starfish back in 2020 when it was called the Pelicano. The beach is probably the best we have ever walked on. We have been to Cayo Coco as well and curious which resort did you prefer. Planning on a 2024 visit back to Cayo largo.
Hudson Nicoletti says
be there next week!

Hello,
I have two questions:
Did you have any water issues such as shortage…
Is it true that you can also use the facilities of the neoghbour hotel?
Thank

My wife and have been to Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco about 8 yrs ago. We are thinking either Memories Cayo Largo or Memories Caribe in Cayo Coco. I know Memories Caribe is adults only but we would like your opinion on both and which you would recommend. We are not picky, we prefer the pool to the beach, not the biggest drinkers. As long as the room and resort are clean and the selection of food is half decent. I appreciate your feedback and comments
Scott Keegan says
Hi, ok so memories in Cayo Coco vs Cayo Largo? New favorite? I am interested in Cayo Largo as well, never been, typically i go to Guillermo, for kitesurfing, but have been curious about this area. Thoughts? I saw you in July from a distance in Cuba airport, dont worry not creeping you. Appreciate your feedback, Thanks.

Glad to see you both finally made it to what I call paradise/heaven on earth!!!❤❤❤
Cayo Largo del sur was our very first and second trip to Cuba back in May 2015 and then again in October 2016. We had met many who do travel twice per year during those months and have for many many years now.
If you want to see the ocean from your room, stay in one of the ocean view rooms on the second floor!
The second trip we took in October 2016 we were pleasantly surprised that the exact same room was reserved for us without a request as this really made it feel special and like our home away from home! With such great attention to detail, and all the beauty this island has to offer, its no wonder people return many times over! Cubans dont seem to forget a face either! You really do feel like family!
If you like walking, you can take a beautiful walk to Paraiso Beach which is even more stunning and beautiful then the hotel beach! We actually walked this with another couple we had met the second time we were there and it took us about two hours with of coarse stopping a couple of times for a dip in the ocean spending about a half hour just floating with great conversation! Expect to see sting Ray and turtle holes! Also barbies and such some set up themselves along the way! You can also rent some wheels or hire a taxi to get you there a lot faster, but like flying, you will miss.out on some of the most pristine waters/sands and probably the most peaceful walk ever! Great place to take pictures and the water is a lot calmer for swimming at Paraiso Beach. They have cold drinks and snacks too.
Also another beach just about one km further, you will find Playa Serena with deep white sand many palm trees, water sports, toys, another restaurant/bar. The trip by taxi to the Marina is also really worth the short trip. They serve a great chicken and or Lobster dinner, add to that a nice bottle of wine at a great price! You can also do some shopping and see all sizes of turtles for a very small fee! They offer night life with an out door bar and dancing with a live Dj on stage, light show at the Marina a few times per week with I think Wednesdays being the best! A bus will pick you up at a specific time from the hotel lobby for just a couple of dollars. Gotta do it especially if you like to dance!
Excursions are also wonderful! Need to check out Iguana Island! Take some bread with you on that excursion and from there off to a natural pool and snorkeling as well, the fish and others on the excursion will love you! The bread really brings the fish around for some excellent underwater photos!
We haven't been back to Cayo Largo since the hotel changed hands, for we do have to pay extra for flights and hotel stay to Toronto or Montreal from Central Canada so Cayo Guillermo has been a more affordable choice for us at this time. My favorite place also to eat is El Rancho on the beach with that amazing view!!! I hadn't noticed in your video a snack bar attached to the swim up bar. I will have to watch again. The snack bar by the pool was also one of our favorite places to sit for a beer and El Rancho used to be open for lunch only and also served the returning guests their special lobster dinner. Some changes I guess since the resort became Memories and that is to be expected, but it doesn't take away from the islands natural Beauty! I also love the small size of this resort for you can get just about anywhere on this property within approximately a five minute walk.
I am so glad you had travelled there and are sharing your experience on your channel, for most people i have spoken with especially here in Central Canada have never even heard of this stunning island in Cuba and it deserves all the attention it can get! Although some regulars have said they would rather keep this island a secret and to have it all to themselves!Lol
Cayo Largo will always be our #1 destination and Love for an all inclusive resort vacation in Cuba! ❤
Thank you for sharing all of your travels and experiences as I do enjoy your content and will continue to tag along with you two lovley folks on your amazing journey's to see some of the most amazing places and people on the planet!

Went to CL in 2011, hoping to go back this fall. Now that they have this exclusive food import license to the island that changes everything. Just curious, How full was the flight out of t.o?

Fish, London, ON here. Been to Memories Caribe last year and loved it. A couple friends and I almost booked this same Cayo Largo trip for last week, but went camping instead. Instead of unlimited cocktails and sunny beaches it rained almost everyday, the tent leaked, the tarp was just small enough that your back would get wet sitting at the picnic table, a campsite is $42/night now, and firewood is $12/bag. Including camping, drinks, and food it would have been cheaper to go to Cayo Largo

Nuther good one Mike. Looks it could be worth a try. Understand it is quite a sea turtle area.
B Langford says
Now that Sunwing has assumed management of all the resorts in Cayo Largo would you say the food is better than before ? We were there in 2017 and had fly issues in the buffet and cats urinating there also so were reluctant to return . Love your videos. Salud !
Louise Froebel says
Thanks for this review. My friends and I have been to this resort a few times before ownership changed. The beaches are a lot smaller now than our prior visits, so we opted to return to Memories Caribe. I think we will have to return to Cayo Largo soon as the resort looks great, and we also enjoyed getting to know some of the staff.
Bob Momcilovic says
Did you see any jellyfish?
Louise Bailey says
We have been waiting for this review. This hotel was our first trip to Cuba and fell in love with it and it's beaches. We have heard and seen that the beaches had been eroded by past storms. We have also tried what is now know as Sunfish which was great. Oh yes my husband would get up at 0600 to walk the beach. 😊😊 this made us wanting to go back.
Doug says
Another great video guys. Pleasantly surprised how much food and drink selections during the " off" season. We're there lots of Canadians at the resort? PS. Who gets up at 7:30 am while on vacation 😮
