Unfortunately excellence resorts seem to be going downhill, we just returned from excellence playa Mujures and it was not good. Although service and the workers were amazing! The rooms need serious maintenance. My husband went to walk around the wood that surrounds the plunge pool on our deck and a piece of wood literally broke! He’s only 180 pounds! Thankfully his foot didn’t go completely through but it did break the wood… so we had to map out what parts of the deck we could walk on after I broke a piece of wood😬. Literally just walked on one and it cracked in half, broke my toes. I called to get a first add kit and what really put me off was the gentleman saying your not trying to get money from us right? On top of that the jets in our shower didn’t work, one was broken off, our plunge pool was leaking so it was only half full. They couldn’t move us unfortunately, but if anyone’s looking to go here I would look somewhere else… I also wrote a review on trip advisor with 3 stars only because of the staff and they either didn’t post it or removed it… for the money I would definitely go to altier playa Mujures, or grand palladium. The prices seem to be similar

Subscribed! Is the Bahia Principe Grand Coba in Cancun a good resort? I see a deal for May that's a little over 2k for all inclusive but that includes airline for 2 adults. I don't think anything even comes close after all the fees etc. I know the airline is Spirit (we normally fly Delta) but was wondering more if you had any experience/knowledge about the resort. I've been researching but I'm getting mixed reviews
